President's Executive Cabinet Committee Meeting

Vehicle Lease Purchase — Three possible scenarios were discussed with pros and cons examined. A final decision will be made at a later date after more information is gathered.

Project Approval — A facilities project for ARBL maintenance was brought forward for discussion and approval.

Construction Projects for State Stimulus Package — Possible projects were discussed to take advantage of the state stimulus package. Further review will continue.


President's Cabinet Meeting

A communications update was given by VP of Public Affairs Mark Minor on current marketing objectives and successes.

Future athletics events were discussed by Director of Athletics Paul Kowalczyk. These will include outreach events to Denver alums.

Vice Provost for Outreach and Strategic Partnerships Lou Swanson commented on the successful turnout at the CSU/4-H Day at the National Western Stock Show. He also gave an update on the positive feedback received from NCEDC in regards to the restructuring of economic development and DCE staff.

Vice President for Enrollment and Access Robin Brown gave an update on the cuts taken by other universities around the nation. She also advised of the February 1 priority application deadline.

Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and Assistant Vice President for Research Peter Dorhout gave an update on the National Council of Graduate Schools completion and attrition survey the Graduate School is reviewing. He also reported the library task force is moving along well.

Vice President for Information Technology Pat Burns is examining ways his division can save money by a possible consortium among universities.

Executive Dean Lance Perryman gave a reminder of the College of Ag Science Dean search schedule.

Vice President for Advancement and Strategic Initiatives Joyce Berry gave an update on the success of the Citizen of the West event and how Colorado State was highlighted at this event.

Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs Alan Lamborn gave an update on the successful progress of the renovation of the former music building into a new learning center.

Vice Provost for International Affairs Jim Cooney will be working on an inventory of international projects CSU has in each country. The recent passing of Maury Albertson was also mentioned along with possible ways to honor him.

Vice President for Student Affairs Blanche Hughes gave an update on the possible name changes coming for the diversity offices after much input from the offices and alums.

Senior Vice President for Research and Engagement Bill Farland updated the group on the review of future grant programs with matching grants.
