President's Executive Cabinet Committee Meeting

Budget Discussion — Mandatory costs to the University were reviewed for possible savings.

Campus Budget Discussion with State Classified Personnel — The committee reviewed the points that Interim President Tony Frank discussed with state classified personnel.

Municipal Lease — The process for leasing equipment was discussed for future efficiency and cost savings.

IRS Audit — There will be an upcoming audit of certain areas by the IRS. This is a common procedure and information will be distributed by the Vice President for Finance.

Information Technology Executive Committee (ITEC) — The Interim Provost discussed the proposed restructuring of the ITEC and advisory committees.


President's Cabinet Meeting

Budget Discussion — Mandatory costs to the University were discussed for possible savings. This will be discussed further at the March 11 budget hearings.

Information Technology Executive Committee (ITEC) — The Interim Provost discussed the proposed restructuring of ITEC and advisory committees for more clearly defined membership and responsibilities. A few additions were made to the advisory committees to ensure campus representation from all areas.

IRS Audit — There will be an upcoming audit of certain areas by the IRS. This is a common procedure and information will be distributed by the Vice President for Finance.

CSU Day — April 17th is CSU day at the state capitol and there will be a full schedule of activities around that event coming soon.

Federal Stimulus Plan — An update on the federal economic stimulus package was discussed along with potential avenues for increased research funding at CSU.

Enrollment Update — An update on enrollment numbers was given to the group. The number of freshman applications has significantly increased this year as compared to prior years.

College of Ag Sciences Dean — The search process for the Dean of Ag Sciences is almost complete.

Banner Update — A Banner update will occur over the next week that will enable a waitlist for students when registering for full classes.
