President's Executive Cabinet Committee Meeting

FY10 Budget Discussion — Budget scenarios and possible savings were discussed.

Credit Card Fees — Credit card processing fees were discussed.


President's Cabinet Meeting

Board of Governors Meeting Overview — Interim President Tony Frank discussed items that were approved in public session at yesterday’s Board of Governors meeting. Future presentations to the Board were also discussed for formatting options.

Dean Search — The College of Agricultural Sciences dean candidates were reviewed and discussed by Cabinet for input. The search committee is hoping to make a final decision in the next two weeks.

State Stimulus Update — An update of possible funding to the State of Colorado from the federal stimulus package was discussed. How the state will use this money is still to be determined.

Rural Mailer — A mailer similar to what CSU sent out last year to targeted audiences will be going out soon with the intent to increase enrollment and philanthropy rates along with marketing awareness of CSU’s programs.

Banner Upgrade — The Banner upgrade was successfully completed with very little system interruption.

Budget 101 — There will be three budget training sessions next week open to the campus and our constituents.

Construction update — An update was given of current construction on campus.

Graduate Applications — CSU is seeing a 9% increase in graduate applications over last year, with a 13% increase from under-represented groups.

ASCSU Budget Presentation — ASCSU leadership will present at this year’s Budget Retreat on March 11. They will be discussing what budget items are important to them from the student body perspective.

Transfer Center — The Transfer Center should be fully functional by a target date of July 1.

Undergraduate Applications — While CU is down in applications, CSU is seeing a significant increase in applications this year.
