Chair, Faculty Council

Melinda Smith was elected as the Faculty Council chair for the 2023-2024 academic year. Smith served as Faculty Council’s vice chair during the 2022-2023 academic year and served in the 2021-2022 academic year as the CSU Board of Governors Representative. Smith also has served on Faculty Council’s Committee on Scholarship, Research and Graduate Education, including several years as its chair. Smith is a community/ecosystem ecologist and a Department of Biology faculty member.
